Computer Studies

What is a computer? A computer is a mechanical device that accepts data as input, processes the data and brings out information as output. For the purpose of processing information, every computer has the Central Processing Unit abbreviated to [ CPU ].THIS IS THE BRAIN OF THE COMPUTER structure, made up of electronic devices connected together. It has three parts.First is the heart of the system. This is the main memory where all data are being processed and the programmes controlling the computer are contained.Next, we have the Arithmetic Logic Unit. This aspect is for calculations and makes comparisons with logical operations between units of data.
Next is the controlling unit which controls the operations of all the hard ware as memory dictates in its programme capacity. The CPU is built in terms of its memory cpacity and the speed of the control per second [MIPS].

Data comes into the CPU through the input device such as terminal key board. From the
key board data is sent into the computer[CPU] for processing.Another input device is the mouse. By clicking the mouse data is sent into the computer for processing. Another input device is the scanner.By this device, information such as contained in any document like ID card can be sent into the computer exactly as it is to preserve its originality. The output devices include the monitor and the printer. When you print
out the information displayed in the monitor, then it is ready for your personal use.
